A re-imagining of an original artwork in deeper darker hues.
Yggdrasil – the Tree of Life, Wodin’s Tree, the Mother Tree, the World Tree. Based on an old white oak tree and the legends of the Northern hemisphere, an acknowledgement of my roots and the grounding and basis of my core approach to life. Contained within this tree’s branches are the leaves of many different species both from the North and from the South. The colours that shine on the bark of the tree are particularly reminiscent of those that shine on the Eucalypts of the Southern hemisphere when golden hour is at it’s most glorious. Old world, New life.
